In 2015, a private client commissioned “Landscape-Roidis” studio to undertake the complete landscape and façade design of a private residence, transforming it into a luxury holiday retreat—Villa Koucla.

Located in Nea Moudania, the second largest town of Halkidiki, at the entrance of the Kassandra peninsula and approximately 54 km from Thessaloniki, the villa enjoys direct sea views and a privileged coastal setting. Designed as a high-end holiday residence, it can accommodate up to 12 guests.

The design concept strategically redefined the spatial organization of the property. The main entrance was positioned at the rear of the villa, ensuring privacy and a gradual reveal of the landscape experience. In contrast, the front of the residence opens dramatically toward the sea, where a 25-meter infinity swimming pool dominates the outdoor composition. A 3-meter diving platform enhances the pool’s dynamic character, while visually extending the water element toward the horizon.

Adjacent to the main living room, a covered barbecue area with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen creates a seamless indoor–outdoor living experience. The villa’s recreational character is further strengthened by the addition of a beach volleyball court and a basketball court, offering leisure and activity options for residents and guests.

The planting design incorporates species carefully selected to adapt to the local Mediterranean climate, ensuring sustainability and long-term resilience. Marble was chosen for the paving, reinforcing the sense of refinement and timeless elegance.

Overall, the project embodies a balance between luxury and functionality, creating a high-aesthetic living environment that harmonizes architecture, landscape, and coastal scenery.
