The 5 * hotel Regina del Aqua is built «in front of the sea» in a 10.000 m² steep sloped site, in Kefalonia island. Except the total landscape study, concerning the functional and aesthetic design approach of the entire surroundings of the hotel, executed by Landscape-Roidis studio, there was an aesthetic problem regarding of the 11-meter-high retaining wall in front of the property.

The Landscape-Roidis studio design proposes the plasticizing of the wall through a series of artificial rocky formations combined with dense planting and cascaded water. This boundary acts today the hotel’s landmark.
