Landscape–Roidis Studio was commissioned to develop the comprehensive landscape master plan for the Kremasti coastal zone. The project area, approximately 5 km long and averaging 50 m in width, is located in the Petaloudes district on the island of Rhodes, Greece.
The primary objective was to introduce a variety of uses, creating a vibrant coastal environment where visitors could spend and enjoy their time throughout the day. As a result, the 25,000 m² site was divided into distinct zones, each with its own function and landscape character. These include the lagoon area, the commercial area, the marina area, the theatre area, and the sports area.
All zones are connected by a gently curving road, accompanied by a parallel pedestrian pathway extending along the full 5 km length, effectively linking the coastal area with the adjacent village. In addition, parking spaces are provided along the road near the village, while a dedicated cycling path runs alongside it, enhancing accessibility and promoting sustainable mobility.
