Landscape–Roidis Studio prepared the Environmental Impact Assessment and comprehensive landscape design for a riverside site envisioned as an Open-Air Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. The project sought to combine environmental stewardship, cultural interpretation, and public recreation within a unified landscape framework.

The design strategy focused on preserving and enhancing the ecological character of the river corridor while creating a sequence of outdoor spaces that communicate the historical significance of the Macedonian Struggle through the landscape itself. Pedestrian routes, interpretive areas, thematic installations, and gathering spaces were carefully integrated into the natural setting, allowing visitors to engage with both the cultural narrative and the surrounding environment.

Particular emphasis was placed on protecting the site's ecological resources through sensitive planning, habitat preservation, and the use of native vegetation. The landscape interventions were designed to blend seamlessly with the riverside setting, reinforcing the area's environmental value while creating an educational and immersive visitor experience.

The project demonstrates how landscape architecture can serve as a medium for both environmental conservation and cultural storytelling, transforming a natural riverside environment into a meaningful public destination rooted in history, memory, and place.
