Owned by the Bank of Greece, the Parnitha Campsite has operated continuously since 1945, establishing a long-standing tradition of outdoor recreation within the natural landscape of Mount Parnitha. Landscape–Roidis Studio was commissioned to undertake the comprehensive redesign and regeneration of the campsite, reimagining both its spatial organization and landscape character to meet contemporary standards of comfort, functionality, and environmental quality.

Completed in 2004, the intervention extends across 28 acres and involved the complete reconfiguration of the residential facilities and surrounding open spaces. The masterplan sought to create a coherent and accessible environment where accommodation, recreation, and nature coexist harmoniously. Circulation routes, gathering areas, recreational facilities, and green spaces were carefully integrated into the landscape, enhancing both usability and the overall visitor experience.

Particular attention was given to preserving the site's natural character while improving its operational efficiency and long-term sustainability. The landscape design strengthens the relationship between the built environment and the surrounding forest setting, creating a welcoming outdoor environment that encourages social interaction, recreation, and connection with nature.

Today, the campsite continues to be maintained and upgraded on an annual basis, ensuring a high standard of accommodation and a comfortable experience for generations of visitors while preserving the unique landscape qualities that define the Parnitha region.
