Total landscape design of so called “Theatre Park” in Nea Ionia of Volos. The site of approximately 170.000m2, was a former army heliport and it was completely flat. In the landscape proposal for the park, LRA studio change the topography with extended ground modelling and propose hilly areas with waterfalls. The water follows an artificial creek and meets the proposed artificial pond. A small restaurant is situated aside the pond. Additionally a small botanical garden, a small zoo with local animals, various playgrounds, open lawns, a small park Road Safety, an open theatre are proposed with LRA Master plan design. Of course the proposed dense planting of trees and shrubs makes the area very attractive to visitors especially during the summer. Today the “Theatre Park” is the most popular park in the city of Volos.
