Landscape–Roidis Studio was commissioned to design a private seafront residence and its surrounding landscape on a prime coastal site in Eretria, Evia. The project capitalizes on the site's direct relationship with the sea, creating a seamless connection between architecture, landscape, and the Mediterranean horizon.

The villa adopts a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean architecture and is organized across three levels with an accessible roof terrace. Positioned along the natural slope of the site, the residence maximizes views toward the sea while establishing a strong dialogue between interior and exterior spaces. The main living areas open directly onto expansive outdoor terraces and an infinity-edge swimming pool, whose reflective surface visually merges with the surrounding seascape.

The landscape design extends the living experience outdoors through a series of carefully integrated spaces for relaxation, dining, and social gatherings. A poolside BBQ area and shaded seating terraces create a sequence of outdoor rooms that respond to the site's climate and exceptional waterfront setting.

Planting was developed to reinforce the character of the Mediterranean coastline while ensuring resilience to the local environment. Chamaerops humilis serves as the dominant structural planting element, establishing a strong visual identity throughout the property. Between the pool terrace and the shoreline, a palette of salt-tolerant shrubs and coastal species provides texture, seasonal variation, and protection from sea spray and prevailing winds.

The result is a landscape that feels naturally embedded within its setting, where architecture and garden dissolve into one another, framing uninterrupted views of the sea and creating a refined environment for contemporary coastal living.
