This private Camp site is an eight acre landscape design project located in the mountainous area of VERIA town, Greece in an area so called ELAFINA. The existing landscape around the summer camp is a chestnut forest. The camp site consists of 12 buildings with tents where the children are accommodated and one building accommodates the restaurant and one building where the administration is located. The layout master plan designed by HRLA team propose an open theatre for summer events, an open air church, a soccer field, a swimming pool , organized play areas, meeting points , shading pergolas, and a lot of green areas and pedestrian pathways. A car park for the Sunday’s visitors provided, outside the summer camp property. The HRLA team except the master plan, execute the design development, and the detailed design, of the project. In terms of materials the local flagstones are selected as the base material for the pavement of the pathways and pave blocks for the roads. The planting scheme includes native trees integrated throughout the camp area as well as association of native with exotic shrubs and ground covers, that thrive well in this part of the country.
