The residential complex “HANDRA VILLAS” consists of 10 independent villas, placed on a sloping plot with maximum inclination of 45%, 10 acres with excellent views of Mount Athos. The residences were divided into two sections, one of four and one of six houses, and were situated in two layers with altitude difference between them about 7 meters. The total landscape architecture study cared for the greatest possible preservation of existing terrain. This was secured with retaining walls of intermediate design, in selected locations, where parking spaces were placed, but also individual pools and the gardens of each residence. For the planning of plantings, plant materials were chosen, so the total disturbed landscape to blend in with the natural Pine forest surrounding the village, as well as to withstand adverse conditions of inaccessible location.
