In 2020, Landscape-Roidis Studio was commissioned by Parconstructional Co. to design the complete landscape for the outdoor area of the new Orthodox Church in Tirana, Albania. The total site extends to approximately 3,000 sq.m.

The main aim of the study was, on the one hand, to emphasize the church building and, on the other, to create an autonomous outdoor space able to support the social life of the Orthodox community in Albania.

The paving, using local stone, draws on the linear patterns of the region, while green areas are seamlessly integrated into a unified design framework.
The plant palette was selected in response to both the Mediterranean character of the area and the Orthodox sensibility, especially with regard to shrub planting.
