The client commissioned Landscape–Roidis studio to redesign the hotel’s outdoors area together with two new swimming pools.

Τhe existing architectural character of the hotel, the overall landscape of the island, the hotel’s seafront location, were the tools that finally inspired Landscape-Roidis studio to fully design the landscape of the 4* hotel Aeolos Beach. Τhe landscape elements used in the process of the design, refer to the existing landscape of the hotel giving a new functional and especially aesthetic approach to the gardens with the new swimming pools, the rock gardens, the water features, the new pedestrian roots and the extensive new planting.

During the design process Landscape-Roidis studio had always in mind the main objective, the smallest possible optical distortion as well as the interface between the engineered landscape and the natural landscape, a relationship that is obvious in all site features. It is this interface which has created the site’s distinctive aesthetic embodied by the contrast between nature and the man-made landscape.
